Deciding you want to switch your sports club admin to a piece of software can go one of two ways: Totally disastrous, or a like a nice, gentle jog around your local Parkrun on a Saturday Summer’s morning.

Whether you’re switching from paper-based admin or from another piece of sports club management software, the process to narrow down and find a system that’s right for your club can be daunting. We know that because we’ve been there ourselves.

When many of us started coaching, there wasn’t a great deal of admin. There was basic information to collect, registers to take and sometimes accident forms to fill out. In this day and age there are not only heaps of additional admin tasks that need to take place, but now you have to work by strict guidelines as to what information you keep, the relevance of it and how you store it.

When looking for a new piece of software to use, somewhere along the line we all head to Google to find some honest reviews. Reviews are a huge part of any product/service's reputation, as it they allow potential buyers/users honest insight into what it's really like to use the product/service.

It can be such an effort to get your club set up within a piece of sports club management software. By the time everything is up and running, you never want to switch software again. This means you can end up putting up with extortionate pricing, less-than-helpful support, features that don’t work as well as you’d like, and you feel almost ‘trapped’.

We can spend months, years, even decades stuck in the same old routine. And why? Because it’s familiar and therefore feels safe. There comes a time in life when you have to accept that the times are moving on. Although you may not want to, embracing change can be important to future success.

Our focus has always been to help save club owners time and money when running a sports club. We’ve been thinking about the reasons that we coach. It all boiled down to the feeling we got when we saw our athletes progressing/succeeding. Pure pride.

First of all, Happy New Year! We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are arriving into 2019 full of motivation and ambition. The eagle-eyed among you will have noticed that Coacha now has a little tag line: ‘Create Great’. We thought we’d tell you what it’s about.

It’s almost that time of year. We can almost see the ‘New Year, new me’ posts flooding our timelines. We honestly love the prospect of a fresh start at New Year. Humans love the idea of ‘starting fresh’ and ‘wiping the slate clean’. What’s more inspiring than a brand-new year? ‘Start the year as you mean to go on’ they always say. And we couldn’t agree more!

It’s nearly time for a new year and a fresh start. Many clubs we speak to at this time of year are determined to make a change. They've spent the last 3 - 4 years breaking promises to themselves to take the leap from paper-based admin. They've decided that enough is enough.

‘Coacha has made our admin run so much smoother after implementing it this season. All of our staff are so grateful to be able to process things so easily. We absolutely love Coacha and couldn't imagine running our program without it now! You guys rock.’
